A telephone conversation was held between President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during which they discussed key issues of bilateral relations.
The two leaders specifically focused on the further development of strategic partnership and alliance, covering a wide range of areas. They underscored the importance of implementing large joint projects, which is one of the priority areas of cooperation.
They separately noted the significant role of interregional cooperation in strengthening trade and economic ties. The Presidents highly commended the meeting of the Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan, held in October in the Moscow region, which became an important platform for discussing joint projects and developing new approaches to cooperation.
It is expected that the upcoming 6th International Industrial Exhibition "INNOPROM. Central Asia," scheduled for April 2026 in Tashkent, will be an important event for further strengthening trade and economic ties between Russia and Uzbekistan, and will also open new opportunities for the implementation of joint projects.
