Penza region and Uzbekistan: a new stage of industrial cooperation and the growth of trade turnover

Oleg Melnichenko, Governor of the Penza Region, instructed the regional government to expand the scale of cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan. The key focus is on creating joint ventures and using the sites of major industrial exhibitions to strengthen business ties.
During the meeting of the Penza Region government, the Governor stressed that Uzbekistan remains one of the strategic foreign trade partners of the region. The dynamics of the figures confirm this status: over the period from 2022 to 2024, foreign trade turnover increased by more than a third, and similar growth rates remained in the first 10 months of 2025.
The Governor emphasized the importance of the region's participation in international convention and exhibition events. In 2025, Penza Region delegations actively worked in Tashkent as part of the INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition. Central Asia", and also visited Samarkand and Bukhara.
